Coleman grew up in York, PA, with 3 older siblings. Having competed with his siblings in almost everything from board games to swimming, a competitive spirit developed.

Coleman always wanted to be the best in his family when it came to swimming. He attended North Carolina State where he made an immediate impact during his freshman year on the Wolfpack team that spent most of the season as the top ranked team in the country.

He has often been viewed as the "underdog", but enjoys the challenge and "over-performing" when it comes time to race. Coleman founded the Fifth Stroke Swim Camp to share his knowledge and develop youth athletes underwater abilities.

Coleman recently competed with the Cali Condors in the ISL season. He currently lives in Raleigh, NC.

His passion for teaching the next generation of athletes has grown since turning pro in 2020. He loves traveling the world to help teach young swimmers the ins and outs of competitive swimming.
